Direct PCR: Amplify Without Purification
The direct PCR approach enables amplification from crude samples and eliminates the need for any DNA purification steps before PCR. This method significantly simplifies traditional PCR workflows, making it increasingly popular for basic and applied research applications such as genotyping, DNA sequence detection and sequencing. This webinar will review the basics of the direct PCR method, present most common applications and provide guidelines on how to perform direct PCR on different sample types.
Topics Covered
- Introduction to direct PCR approach and applications
- Inhibitor-tolerant DNA polymerases
- Tips and tricks for amplification without DNA purification
- Gentle genotyping with direct PCR
